Role Description The Chief Financial Officer – Investment at Akava Luxury is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy and investment initiatives. This role oversees budgeting, cash flow management, capital allocation, and long-term financial planning to support growth in manufacturing and brand expansion. The CFO directs the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial statements and reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating investment opportunities, assessing financial risks, optimizing funding structures, and strengthening relationships with banks, investors, and other financial partners. The role also involves building and mentoring a high-performing finance team, implementing robust internal controls, and partnering with senior leadership on strategic decisions related to operations, sustainability, and international expansion.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in core Finance, including corporate finance principles, capital allocation, and investment analysis.
Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic financial modeling.
Advanced proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret, present, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Excellent Analytical Skills, including the ability to assess risk, evaluate business performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles, ideally within manufacturing, consumer goods, or luxury retail sectors.
Proven track record in fundraising, investor relations, and working with financial institutions and external stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of taxation, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements relevant to Indian and international markets.
Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent advanced degree are highly desirable.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
High level of integrity, strategic thinking capability, and readiness to work on-site in New Delhi.
