Role Description This is a full-time Food Technologist role based in New Delhi, offered in a hybrid format with some work-from-home flexibility. The Food Technologist will design, develop, and improve food products, working closely with cross-functional teams to move concepts from formulation through testing to commercial launch. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting laboratory experiments, performing sensory evaluations, documenting results, and ensuring that processes and products comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role involves monitoring production parameters, supporting quality control checks, and troubleshooting issues related to product stability, texture, flavor, and shelf life. The Food Technologist will also participate in research and development activities, analyze data, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize ingredients, processes, and costs.
Qualifications
Strong foundations in Food Technology with practical Laboratory Skills relevant to product development and testing.
Experience with Sensory Evaluation methods to assess and optimize taste, texture, aroma, and overall product acceptability.
Skills in Quality Control, including setting specifications, monitoring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Exposure to Research and Development (R&D), including designing experiments, interpreting data, and supporting scale-up from lab to production.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, or a closely related discipline.
Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and basic microbiological and chemical testing relevant to food products.
Proficiency in data recording and analysis, with attention to detail and strong documentation practices.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and adapt to changing project priorities.
