Role Description This full-time, on-site Consultant Radiologist role is based in Proddatur. The Consultant Radiologist will perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other radiological procedures, in accordance with clinical guidelines and safety protocols. The role involves preparing detailed radiology reports, collaborating with referring clinicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, and participating in multidisciplinary case discussions when required. Daily responsibilities include supervising imaging procedures, ensuring optimal image quality, maintaining radiation safety standards, and guiding junior medical staff or technicians in radiology best practices. The Consultant Radiologist is also expected to contribute to continuous quality improvement, uphold regulatory and ethical standards, and engage in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Relevant medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed specialization in Radiology (MD/DNB or equivalent), with valid medical registration and license to practice.
Demonstrated expertise in diagnostic radiology, including the performance and interpretation of X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and other imaging modalities.
Strong clinical decision-making skills with the ability to provide clear, concise, and timely radiology reports that support effective patient management.
Proficiency in using radiology information systems (RIS), PACS, and standard imaging software, with attention to data accuracy and confidentiality.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and support staff in a busy clinical environment.
Commitment to evidence-based practice, radiation safety, infection control, and adherence to institutional and regulatory standards.
Ability to manage workload efficiently, prioritize cases, and maintain composure and accuracy in high-pressure or urgent clinical situations.
Prior experience as a Consultant or Senior Radiologist in a hospital or diagnostic center setting is highly desirable; teaching or mentoring experience is an advantage.
