Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Documentation - Custom House Broker role based in Mumbai. The role involves preparing and reviewing import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements. The Documentation specialist will coordinate with customers, internal operations, and external agencies to obtain necessary permits, licenses, and clearances, and will monitor shipment status to resolve documentation-related issues promptly. Daily tasks include data entry into customs and company systems, maintaining accurate records, and updating stakeholders on documentation progress. The role also requires staying current with regulatory changes and supporting process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong expertise in Customs Brokerage and related documentation processes.
Candidates should possess skills in Import and Export procedures, including regulatory compliance and shipment handling.
Candidates should possess knowledge of International Trade practices, rules, and documentation standards.
Candidates should possess solid Customer Service abilities, including clear communication with clients and authorities.
Relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations is beneficial.
Familiarity with customs clearance software and MS Office tools is preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
Diploma or degree in Logistics, International Business, Commerce, or a related field is an advantage.
