Role Description The Pricing Executive – Freight Forwarding (Mumbai) is a full-time, on-site role responsible for developing and managing competitive freight rates for export and forwarding operations. Day-to-day tasks include obtaining and analyzing freight transportation costs from carriers, preparing quotations, and ensuring timely rate submissions to internal teams and customers. The role involves coordinating with operations, sales, and customer service teams to support pricing decisions, optimize margins, and align rates with market trends. The Pricing Executive will monitor competitor pricing, maintain pricing databases, and assist in negotiating rates with shipping lines, airlines, and other logistics partners. This position is based at the Mumbai headquarters and requires close collaboration with local and global stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of freight forwarding and freight transportation processes, including pricing and rate management.
Experience in forwarding and export operations, with a clear understanding of international trade and documentation.
Customer service skills with the ability to respond promptly to rate inquiries and support internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in data analysis, MS Excel, and other tools for cost calculation, margin analysis, and reporting.
Effective communication and negotiation skills for interaction with carriers, partners, and internal teams.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines.
Prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation industry preferred.
Relevant academic background in commerce, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is beneficial.
