Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Drafter role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. The Mechanical Drafter will prepare detailed mechanical drawings and engineering layouts based on specifications, sketches, and instructions from design engineers. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, ensuring drawings comply with relevant standards, and collaborating with engineers and production teams to resolve design issues. The role also involves revising drawings to reflect design changes, maintaining drawing documentation and archives, and supporting the preparation of bills of materials and technical documents. The Mechanical Drafter is expected to adhere to quality, safety, and compliance requirements while meeting project timelines.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Mechanical Drawings and Engineering Drawings, with the ability to interpret and produce clear, accurate technical documentation.
Solid understanding of Technical Drawing principles, including geometric tolerancing, dimensioning, and industry drawing standards.
Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D and 3D drafting, preferably in commonly used mechanical CAD software.
Exposure to Design Engineering concepts, with the ability to collaborate effectively with design and production teams.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple drawing tasks and deadlines.
Effective communication skills and ability to work on-site in a team-oriented manufacturing or engineering environment.
Familiarity with mechanical components, fabrication processes, and basic manufacturing practices is an advantage.
