Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Carpenter at CAREERBLOC. The Carpenter will perform a range of carpentry tasks, including framing, structural work, and finish carpentry for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting plans or drawings, measuring and cutting materials, assembling and installing structures, and ensuring work meets safety and quality standards. The Carpenter will use both hand tools and power tools, maintain equipment in good working order, and collaborate with project managers or supervisors to meet deadlines and specifications. The role may also involve troubleshooting construction issues, suggesting improvements, and documenting work progress.
Qualifications
Strong carpentry skills, including experience with general Carpentry and Finish Carpentry.
Proficiency in using Hand Tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, levels, and measuring tools.
Proficiency in using Power Tools including drills, circular saws, nail guns, and sanders.
Experience with Framing for walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components.
Knowledge of construction safety standards and safe tool operation.
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
Reliable internet access and capability to coordinate remotely with supervisors and project teams.
Previous experience as a Carpenter or related trade; vocational training or certification in carpentry is an advantage.
