Role Description The Retail Store Manager role at Jyoti Placement Services is a full-time, on-site position based in Sikkim. The Retail Store Manager will oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and ensuring the sales floor is well-maintained and stocked. Responsibilities include driving sales performance, monitoring inventory, implementing retail loss prevention measures, and ensuring high standards of customer service and customer satisfaction. The role involves coaching and supervising store team members, handling customer inquiries and escalations, and maintaining store reports and performance metrics. The Retail Store Manager will collaborate with management and support teams to meet targets, uphold company policies, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff.
Qualifications
Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with the ability to manage customer concerns and deliver a positive in-store experience.
Effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and management, including clear verbal and written communication.
Proven Store Management experience, including team supervision, sales monitoring, merchandising, and daily operational oversight.
Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, including monitoring stock, reducing shrinkage, and maintaining compliance with store policies.
Previous experience in retail or related customer-facing environments, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet sales and operational targets.
Comfort working on-site in Siliguri, with flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and standard office applications; familiarity with reporting and performance metrics is an advantage.
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; further education in business, retail management, or a related field is beneficial.
