Accountant (For Sikkim Location)

Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sikkim, supporting accounting operations for clients served by Jyoti Placement Services in the Sikkim region. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and posting journal entries, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements. The role involves assisting with budgeting, monitoring cash flow, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams and client representatives, support audits, and help improve financial processes to maintain transparency and efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong skills in general accounting, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
Ability to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking.
Proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Understanding of basic taxation, GST, and compliance with relevant financial regulations.
Excellent numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently on-site in Siliguri, manage time well, and meet reporting deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications in accounting are an advantage.
Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a consulting or services environment.
