Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Audio Developer role based in Bengaluru South, focused on embedded C development for audio systems. The Audio Developer will design, implement, and optimize embedded software for audio processing on ARM-based platforms and other relevant architectures. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing efficient, maintainable C code, debugging and resolving complex issues at the firmware and system level, and collaborating with hardware and system teams to integrate audio features. The role involves performance tuning, code reviews, documentation of design and implementation details, and adherence to quality, safety, and coding standards. The Audio Developer will also contribute to feature enhancements, support post-silicon validation activities, and provide technical input for architecture and design decisions.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Embedded Software and Programming, with extensive hands-on experience in Embedded C.
Solid background in Software Development for audio or signal-processing systems, including integration and optimization.
Experience with ARM Architecture or similar embedded architectures, including low-level drivers and firmware.
Excellent Debugging skills for embedded platforms, using tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
5+ years of relevant industry experience in embedded audio or related domains.
Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS), memory management, and performance optimization on embedded systems.
Familiarity with audio DSP concepts, codecs, and industry-standard audio interfaces (e.g., I2S, TDM) is an advantage.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and work effectively on-site in Bengaluru South.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and standard software development workflows and documentation practices.
