About the Company
A well-known global consumer brand is building its India procurement team and has partnered with Flexiple to hire a category owner. You will own a slice of spend for a brand millions already know, and decide how that category is bought across markets. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams and GCCs in India.
Role Overview
As a Procurement Category Manager, you will own one or more spend categories end to end - setting the buying strategy, managing the supplier portfolio, and being the go-to partner for the business stakeholders you serve. You balance cost, quality, and innovation within your category.
Key Responsibilities
Category Ownership
Own category strategy, spend, and savings for your assigned categories
Manage the supplier portfolio and lead category sourcing events
Track market trends and bring cost and innovation ideas to the business
Stakeholder Partnering
Be the procurement partner to category and business stakeholders
Run supplier reviews and drive performance and value improvement
Ideal Candidate Profile
3 to 7 years in category management, sourcing, or procurement
Strong negotiation skills and a commercial, value-driven mindset
Comfort with spend analysis and stakeholder management
Clear written and spoken English and a reliable remote-work setup
Preferred Qualifications
Experience owning a category in consumer goods, retail, or FMCG
Exposure to spend-analytics or e-sourcing platforms
A degree in supply chain or business, or an MBA
