Role Description
The Typesetter at HubHawks will be responsible for laying out and formatting books and related materials to ensure high-quality, print-ready files that meet industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include working with text and graphics, setting type in alignment with design guidelines, managing page layout consistency, and preparing files using tools such as Adobe InDesign. The role involves collaborating closely with editors, designers, and marketing teams to align typesetting with branding and publication requirements, as well as addressing client feedback and making revisions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, requiring regular coordination with internal teams and adherence to project timelines.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Typesetting and Adobe InDesign for book and publication layout.
Accurate Typing skills and attention to detail for handling text-heavy documents.
Customer Service skills to manage author and client communication in a professional manner.
Relevant Education or training in Publishing, Graphic Design, Communication, or a related field.
Ability to follow style guides, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Basic understanding of printing processes and file preparation standards.
Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
Prior experience in book publishing or production is an advantage.
