Role Description
The Assistant Manager – Graphic will be responsible for overseeing and executing graphic design projects that support book publishing, marketing campaigns, and digital promotion. This full-time, on-site role in Gurugram involves creating visual concepts for book covers and marketing collateral, coordinating with editors, marketers, and authors to align designs with project goals, and ensuring brand consistency across all materials. The role includes managing timelines, supervising pre-press processes to ensure print-ready files, and collaborating on web design assets for websites, landing pages, and social media. The Assistant Manager will also monitor workflow, mentor junior designers, and contribute ideas to enhance the overall visual strategy and user experience.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, with experience creating book covers, marketing creatives, and visual identities.
Knowledge of Pre-press processes, including preparing files for print, color correction, and ensuring technical accuracy for production.
Experience in Project Management, including planning, prioritizing tasks, managing multiple design projects, and meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in Web Design, including creating responsive layouts, digital banners, and UI elements for websites and campaigns.
Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma or similar).
Strong visual storytelling, typography, and layout skills, with attention to detail and quality.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Relevant degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, and prior experience in publishing or marketing is an advantage.
