Role Overview
The selected team will take ownership of the client's Dynatrace observability platform, supporting platform configuration, dashboards, alerting, event correlation, telemetry ingestion, service onboarding, and enterprise integrations.
The role will involve supporting the existing platform, delivering enhancements, and contributing to the implementation and ongoing support of a new strategic observability platform.
The Technical Lead will act as the senior technical authority for the offshore team while remaining highly hands-on. This role includes technical planning, quality ownership, escalation management, mentoring, and collaboration with UK-based architects and service delivery stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance the Dynatrace observability platform.
Configure and optimize dashboards, alerts, event correlation, policies, and service onboarding.
Support platform upgrades, health monitoring, maintenance, and performance optimization.
Engineer telemetry ingestion across logs, metrics, traces, and events.
Configure and maintain ingestion and processing rules using OpenPipeline.
Implement and optimize event correlation, AI-assisted alerting, thresholds, and incident workflows.
Manage integrations between Dynatrace and ServiceNow, including event-to-incident flows and CMDB enrichment.
Deliver Monitoring-as-Code using Git-based workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
Work with Monaco, Dynatrace Terraform Provider, GitHub Actions, and automation tools.
Support observability across hybrid environments, including Azure, AWS, and on-premises infrastructure.
Implement and support OpenTelemetry, OneAgent, and Dynatrace Operator for Kubernetes.
Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash and REST APIs.
Troubleshoot complex observability platform, integration, telemetry, and production issues.
Additional Responsibilities – Technical Lead
Provide technical leadership and act as the escalation point for complex issues.
Plan, prioritize, and coordinate engineering activities.
Own technical quality, reviews, and delivery standards.
Mentor and support Dynatrace Engineers.
Collaborate closely with UK-based Architects and Service Delivery Managers.
Drive best practices for observability, automation, monitoring-as-code, and platform governance.
Mandatory Skills
8+ years of overall IT / Observability Engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace or comparable enterprise APM/Observability platforms.
Experience with Azure cloud – Mandatory.
Strong understanding of logs, metrics, traces, and events.
Experience with telemetry ingestion, monitoring configuration, dashboards, alerts, and policies.
Experience with event correlation and ITSM integrations.
Hands-on experience integrating monitoring platforms with ServiceNow.
Experience with Git-based workflows, configuration-as-code, and CI/CD pipelines.
Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Experience working with REST APIs and automation.
Experience monitoring hybrid environments across Azure, AWS, and on-premises infrastructure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for professionals with strong hands-on expertise in Dynatrace, enterprise observability, Azure, telemetry engineering, event correlation, ServiceNow integration, and Monitoring-as-Code.
For the Technical Lead position, candidates should additionally demonstrate experience in technical leadership, mentoring, prioritization, code/configuration reviews, quality ownership, and escalation handling.
