About BrightCHAMPS
BrightCHAMPS is a holistic skill-building and learning platform on a mission to bridge the gap between traditional education and the real-world skills kids need to thrive, offering expert-designed courses in Coding, Financial Literacy, Math, Robotics, AI, and Communication. Founded in 2020 by Ravi Bhushan, the company has rapidly expanded to over 30 countries, delivering 200,000+ live classes every month, and is one of the fastest-growing EdTech companies in the world, teaching coding, robotics, financial literacy, and STEM skills to over a million children. BrightCHAMPS is backed by $63M in funding at a $650M valuation, with investors including Premji Invest, GSV Ventures, 021 Capital, Beenext, and Binny Bansal. The company operates across four core learning verticals — CodeCHAMPS (coding), RoboCHAMPS (robotics and artificial intelligence), FinCHAMPS (financial literacy), and LingoCHAMPS (communications) — and has grown to a team of 700+ employees across five continents.
Role Overview
We are looking for a high-energy, target-driven Sales professional with proven team handling and P&L ownership experience to join our growing Sales team. This role is central to driving revenue growth by converting inbound/outbound leads (parents of K12 students) into paying customers through consultative, needs-based selling, while building and managing high-performing sales teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in EdTech K12 sales, is comfortable with high-volume outreach, and thrives in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
● Own the end-to-end sales cycle — from lead engagement to counseling parents/students and closing enrollments for BrightCHAMPS programs.
● Own the P&L for the assigned team/region/vertical — driving revenue, managing cost per acquisition, and ensuring profitable growth against budget.
● Conduct structured discovery calls with parents to understand their child's learning needs and present BrightCHAMPS' offerings as the right-fit solution.
● Drive and exceed monthly/quarterly revenue targets through consistent pipeline management and follow-ups.
● Conduct regular performance reviews, call audits, and coaching sessions to improve team conversion rates and pitch quality.
● Deliver product demos and counseling sessions (video/phone) that build trust and clearly articulate value to parents.
● Maintain accurate and updated records of leads, conversations, and conversions in the CRM; track team performance dashboards.
● Collaborate with Marketing to give feedback on lead quality and campaign performance.
● Work closely with the Academic/Curriculum team to stay updated on product offerings and articulate them effectively to prospects.
● Analyze sales funnel metrics (connect rate, conversion rate, average deal size, CAC) and identify areas for improvement.
● Manage team-level P&L, including incentive payouts, cost optimization, and forecasting against revenue targets.
● Partner with leadership on sales strategy, pricing, and process improvements to scale revenue. Requirements (Common Across Levels)
● Prior experience in EdTech K12 sales is mandatory — inside sales, business development, or academic counseling for K12-focused ed-tech companies.
● Demonstrated team handling experience — hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of sales teams is a must (except at entry Manager level, where at least some team-lead exposure is required).
● P&L management experience — comfortable owning and reporting on revenue, cost, and margin metrics for their unit (level of ownership scales with seniority, as detailed above).
● Strong communication, persuasion, and objection-handling skills; comfortable speaking with parents and making a compelling case for learning outcomes.
● Data-driven approach to sales — comfortable working with CRM tools (e.g., LeadSquared, Salesforce, Zoho) and analyzing funnel metrics.
● Proven ability to work in a high-intensity, target-driven environment with daily/weekly/monthly KPIs.
● Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
● Willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment, including weekend availability (standard for parent-facing EdTech sales roles).
