Role Description The Drilling Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in Ahmedabad, with some flexibility for work-from-home tasks such as reporting, planning, and documentation. On a day-to-day basis, the Drilling Specialist will plan and supervise drilling operations, monitor drilling parameters, and ensure safe and efficient execution of pile and foundation drilling activities. The role includes coordinating with site engineers and equipment operators, overseeing drilling fluids and related systems, and addressing technical challenges encountered in the field. The Drilling Specialist will prepare operational reports, maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards, and support continuous improvement in drilling methods and equipment utilization. Occasional client or consultant interaction may be required to discuss technical aspects and progress of drilling activities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Drilling and Drilling Fluids, with practical experience in planning and supervising drilling operations.
Candidates should possess skills related to Fluids and Completion, including understanding of fluid properties, hole cleaning, and completion practices relevant to foundation or petroleum-related projects.
Candidates should possess an understanding of Petroleum concepts or engineering principles where applicable to subsurface conditions and drilling performance.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
Experience in piling, foundation construction, or drilling operations, including field supervision and equipment handling, is highly beneficial.
Ability to read technical drawings, interpret geotechnical reports, and document daily activities and performance metrics accurately.
Strong focus on safety, adherence to standards, and the ability to work effectively in a team on active construction sites.
Good communication skills and basic proficiency with office and reporting software for planning and documentation tasks.
