Fashion Designer (Fabric & Design Focus)
We're a design-led luxury consumer brand looking for a fashion designer to help shape our first product line from concept through to production-ready specs (soft toy brand not apparels)
Any one who has knowledge on fabrics & designing fashion products from scratch can apply

What you'll do:
Design product silhouette, form, and construction from concept sketches to technical flats
Recommend and source fabric evaluating options - only premium fibers
Translate brand colour direction into exact, production-ready references (Pantone or supplier-matched)
Prepare manufacturer-ready spec sheets/tech packs measurements, materials, construction notes, colour codes
Provide fabric swatches and physical samples for review before any material is committed to production
What we're looking for:
Extremely strong hands-on knowledge of fabric types, behaviour, durability, seam/construction techniques
Experience on soft goods, apparel, or textile-based product design on softwares. (Flow - Sketch (Illustrator or hand-drawn) → drape/simulate (CLO3D, optional) → fabric selection → pattern draft (Lectra, Optitex, or hand-drafted) → toile/muslin test → manufacturer spec sheet. Any alternative software works too but concept will remain same)
Someone who can design products from scratch perfectly not just tweak existing designs
Someone who can translate ideas into versatile designs on any preferred digital softwares
Comfortable working from a brand brief and design guidelines, translating direction into finished specs
Optional: Strong pattern-making ability, translating a 3D form into accurate, production-ready flat patterns (seam allowance, stuffing volume, fabric grain/pile direction) that hold shape once sewn and stuffed.)
Note: If you are someone who got experience in all 3 elements - designing + fabrics + patter making you will be moved to final round immediately. You don't require experience designing soft toys if you have knowledge on fabrics and designing products from scratch you will be a perfect candidate
Who we are looking for: 0-2 Years of Experience + having a degree in fashion background from colleges like NIFT.
Location: In-office — West Mambalam, Chennai
Engagement:
First 3 months are an internship/probation period
