Embedded Systems And Drone Development Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Embedded Systems and Drone Development Engineer to join our product development team.
The candidate will work on embedded electronic products and drone systems, covering circuit design, PCB development, microcontroller programming, hardware testing, drone assembly, flight-controller integration, and prototype development.
The candidate should be capable of taking a product from the initial concept through schematic design, PCB fabrication, firmware development, testing, and final working prototype.
Key Responsibilities
* Design embedded electronic circuits and complete system architectures.
* Prepare circuit schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, or similar software.
* Generate production-ready Gerber files, drill files, BOMs, and pick-and-place files.
* Select suitable electronic components based on performance, availability, and cost.
* Develop firmware using Embedded C and C++.
* Program ARM Cortex-M, STM32, PIC, ESP32, and other microcontrollers.
* Develop and test UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, RS-232, RS-485, Modbus, USB, and related communication interfaces.
* Integrate wireless technologies such as RF, LoRa, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and telemetry modules.
* Perform PCB bring-up, debugging, validation, and hardware modifications.
* Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers, programmers, and debugging tools.
* Design and assemble multirotor drone prototypes.
* Select and integrate motors, propellers, ESCs, batteries, flight controllers, GPS, IMU, compass, barometer, telemetry, and payload systems.
* Calculate drone power requirements, thrust, payload capacity, flight time, and battery capacity.
* Configure and tune flight controllers, safety features, return-to-home, and fail-safe functions.
* Conduct ground tests, flight tests, fault analysis, and performance improvement.
* Maintain proper circuit diagrams, firmware documentation, test reports, and product records.
* Coordinate with PCB manufacturers, component suppliers, and fabrication vendors.
Required Skills
* Minimum 2 years of practical experience in embedded hardware or product development.
* Strong knowledge of circuit design, schematic preparation, PCB layout, and Gerber generation.
* Hands-on experience with ARM or PIC microcontrollers.
* Good programming knowledge in Embedded C or C++.
* Strong understanding of analogue electronics, digital electronics, sensors, power supplies, and communication circuits.
* Experience in PCB assembly, soldering, hardware testing, and troubleshooting.
* Practical understanding of drone electronics, propulsion systems, and flight controllers.
* Ability to independently convert a concept into a working prototype.
* Good problem-solving and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with STM32, ESP32, FreeRTOS, or other real-time embedded platforms.
* Knowledge of ArduPilot, PX4, Mission Planner, QGroundControl, or MAVLink.
* Experience with RF telemetry, GPS tracking, LoRa, GSM, or IoT systems.
* Knowledge of BLDC motor control, battery management systems, and power electronics.
* Basic experience in mechanical design, drone-frame design, or 3D CAD software.
* Experience developing a complete working drone or embedded product will be an advantage.
Educational Qualification
Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in any of the following disciplines:
* Electronics and Communication Engineering
* Electrical and Electronics Engineering
* Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
* Mechatronics Engineering
* Robotics Engineering
* Aerospace Engineering
* Any equivalent technical qualification with relevant practical experience
