Role Description The Freelance Interior Designer will work full time on-site at CYGNUS CAPITAL’s office in Indore, designing functional, aesthetically cohesive workspaces that reflect the firm’s professional brand. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing interior concepts, preparing mood boards and material palettes, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into spatial solutions. The designer will handle space planning, create detailed construction drawings, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and oversee FF&E selection and installation to ensure quality and consistency. The role also involves site visits, reviewing finishes and workmanship, maintaining project timelines and budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and building standards. This position requires close coordination with management to continuously improve office layout, employee experience, and client-facing areas.
Qualifications
Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills to create efficient, aesthetically aligned office layouts.
Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings to develop detailed plans and coordinate with contractors.
Experience with FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, specification, and vendor coordination.
Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
Ability to manage projects independently, including scheduling, budgeting, and on-site supervision.
Excellent visual communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Understanding of workplace ergonomics, building codes, and basic MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) considerations.
Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in corporate or commercial interiors is preferred.
