Role Description The Junior Tekla Detailer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. In this role, the team member will assist in creating and modifying structural steel and concrete models using Tekla Structures, ensuring that drawings and models meet project specifications and industry standards. Daily tasks include preparing GA drawings, assembly drawings, and part drawings, updating models based on design changes, and coordinating with senior detailers, engineers, and project managers to resolve detailing issues. The Junior Tekla Detailer will help review drawings for accuracy, organize project documentation, and support quality checks before issuing drawings to clients or fabrication teams. The role also involves learning and applying company workflows, adhering to deadlines, and contributing to a safe and efficient project delivery process.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of Tekla Structures or similar 3D structural modeling software, with a strong interest in developing expertise in Tekla detailing.
Basic understanding of structural engineering concepts, steel and concrete components, and standard detailing practices used in construction projects.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, design specifications, and technical documents with attention to accuracy and detail.
Proficiency in general computer applications (e.g., MS Office) and willingness to learn additional project management and documentation tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow instructions, apply feedback, and work systematically to meet project deadlines.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate with engineers, senior detailers, and other project stakeholders.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
Prior internship or academic project experience in CAD/structural detailing is an advantage but not mandatory; openness to training and skill development is essential.
