Role Description The Head - 3PL Warehousing Business will build and lead the third-party logistics (3PL) warehousing vertical, overseeing operations, and strategic business development.
This full-time, on-site role based in CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai includes responsibility for planning capacity utilization, managing warehouse performance, and optimizing processes for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with key customers, developing tailored warehousing and value-added solutions, and driving new business opportunities across industries.
The individual will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with finance, sales, and customer service to ensure high service standards, and monitor compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. Regular responsibilities include reviewing operational KPIs, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and preparing management reports and forecasts for senior leadership.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in 3PL Warehousing, Health Care logistics, Cold Chain Functions, Pharma Logistics, Contract Logistics and Supply Chain Operations, along with a commercial mindset and the ability to work in a high-ownership, entrepreneurial environment.
Qualifications
5-7+ years of experience in 3PL, contract logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations.
Experience working with demanding customers in Pharma, FMCG, Chemicals, Consumer, Industrial or similar sectors is preferred.
Experience in setting up a new warehouse/3PL operation will be strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of WMS, inventory management, MHE, warehouse processes and technology.
Commercial orientation with an understanding of warehouse costing, pricing and margins.
Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with demanding customers in Pharma, FMCG, Chemicals, Consumer, Industrial or similar sectors is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High ownership and entrepreneurial mindset.
Ability to work closely with promoters/management and operate in a fast-moving environment.
Experience in temperature-controlled / cold-chain warehousing will be an added advantage.
Prior experience managing Pharma / Life Sciences customers, including handling customer audits, quality requirements, SOPs and compliance-driven operations, will be strongly preferred.
Experience with other highly regulated or quality-sensitive sectors such as Chemicals, FMCG, Food or Healthcare will also be an advantage.
