About the Role
The Ophthalmologist will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, and prescribe appropriate medical treatments and corrective lenses. Daily responsibilities include performing minor and major ophthalmic procedures, coordinating laser treatments and surgeries as needed, and monitoring patient progress and follow-up care. The role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals, documenting clinical findings accurately, educating patients and families on eye health and preventive care, and adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards. The Ophthalmologist may also contribute to home-based eye care consultations as required by the service model. Qualifications
1. Strong foundation in Medicine and Ophthalmology, with the ability to diagnose and manage a broad range of eye conditions.
2. Proficiency in Optometry-related skills, including refraction, prescribing lenses, and assessing visual function. Hands-on experience with Laser procedures for ophthalmic indications, including pre- and post-procedure care.
3. Competence in Ophthalmic Surgery, including cataract and other common surgical interventions, following evidence-based practices. Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (e.g., MS/MD/DNB) from an accredited institution.
4. Valid medical registration/license to practice, with compliance to local regulatory requirements. 5. Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety and ethical practice.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and interact respectfully with patients and families.
7. Ability to work on-site in Jaipur, manage a consistent full-time schedule, and adapt to a patient-centric, in-home care environment.
