About The Role
We are looking for an Analyst – Cement Market to track cement markets, conduct primary and secondary research, assess market prices, and develop actionable market intelligence across regions and product categories. The role involves regular interaction with cement manufacturers, dealers, distributors, traders, and institutional buyers to develop reliable pricing benchmarks and insightful market reports.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct primary and secondary research to collect, validate, and analyse cement pricing and market data.
Track cement prices, demand-supply trends, regional market movements, capacity additions, and other key market indicators.
Develop and maintain pricing methodologies and benchmark assessments through continuous interaction with market participants.
Build and maintain relationships with cement manufacturers, dealers, distributors, traders, contractors, and institutional buyers.
Expand the network of reliable pricing contributors across new markets and geographies.
Identify and onboard new market participants to strengthen regional pricing coverage and data quality.
Prepare daily market updates, weekly insights, analytical articles, demand outlooks, and sector reports.
Prepare reports covering cement prices, capacity additions, regional demand trends, infrastructure activity, and raw material developments.
Maintain accurate databases, dashboards, market trackers, and historical pricing data.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing movements, industry developments, project updates, and relevant policy changes.
Support clients by responding to market-related queries with accurate data interpretation and analytical insights.
Participate in client meetings, product demonstrations, webinars, presentations, and industry-focused content initiatives.
Coordinate with research, consulting, and sales teams on customised research assignments and client deliverables.
Ensure compliance with relevant pricing principles, methodologies, audit requirements, and internal content quality guidelines.
Support senior researchers in market forecasts, consulting assignments, and industry research.
Skills Required
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Good understanding of the cement industry, commodity markets, and industrial value chains.
Strong primary research, data collection, and market interpretation skills.
Excellent communication, networking, and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong report writing and presentation skills.
Ability to analyse large datasets and convert market information into meaningful insights.
Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with industry stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
3–5 years of relevant experience in the cement industry, commodity research, market intelligence, price reporting, procurement, B2B sales, trading, distribution, or related fields.
Experience in cement procurement for construction companies, infrastructure firms, real estate developers, manufacturing organisations, or other large consumers.
Experience in B2B cement sales, channel sales, key account management, or dealer/distributor management.
Experience in cement trading, distribution, or dealer networks.
Experience conducting primary research through interaction with manufacturers, dealers, distributors, traders, contractors, and institutional buyers.
Experience in collecting, validating, and analysing pricing data and preparing industry reports.
Exposure to commodity price assessment, market intelligence, or pricing methodologies will be highly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
Relevant industry experience and strong knowledge of the cement market will be an added advantage.
