W-L Construction & Paving is seeking a Lube/Grease/Fuel Field Technician to support equipment operations at construction sites, asphalt plants, quarries, and other operational locations. This position is responsible for fueling, lubricating, inspecting, and performing routine preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Complete Daily Risk Assessments and report near misses, incidents, and hazards.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles and equipment.
Fuel, grease, and service heavy equipment and vehicles.
Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.
Identify and report equipment issues requiring repair.
Safely operate heavy equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate records and communicate equipment concerns to supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid CDL required.
Tanker endorsement required; Hazmat endorsement preferred or ability to obtain.
3+ years of heavy equipment operation and/or maintenance experience.
Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment and commercial vehicles.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and inspection requirements.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends as needed.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Successfully complete all pre-employment screening requirements.
Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Meet all job-related safety requirements and participate in company safety programs and training.
Subject to post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and other drug and alcohol testing as permitted by company policy and applicable law.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely access and operate heavy equipment.
