Position Overview
The Concrete Plant Operator will be responsible for accurately preparing and mixing high quality concrete for various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete properties, batching processes, and safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operation of various concrete plants in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsible for batching concrete loads according to mix designs and specifications.
Maintenance of the plants by cleaning and greasing on a set schedule.
Responsible to keep a detailed log of all plant activities that occur throughout each day.
Coordinate tanker delivery, concrete dispatch, concrete operations and others as necessary to ensure a smooth operation of the plant.
Ensure that all products produced meet or exceed customers’ expectations regarding quality and service.
Order all materials daily for production.
Responsible for quality products.
Perform general laboring duties as necessary.
Safely operate various equipment as needed.
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous concrete experience perferred but not required
