Position Overview
This is a skilled position requiring the individual to perform maintenance and repair of all company equipment, and assigned duties. This position will be primarily a lube technician position. During the slow season the tech will be required to work in the shop performing maintenance on trucks and equipment.
**This position requires working a combination of day and swing shifts, including weekends, travel, and frequent work outside of normal business hours.**
Wage Range: $25 to $30 per hour, dependent upon experience
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Primary responsibility will be performing preventative maintenance services on trucks and equipment.
Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Repairs or replaces defective parts.
Services equipment as necessary.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
Taking oil samples and keeping good records on equipment.
Inspects welds, broken parts and structural members.
Must be able to function in the role with minimal interaction or supervision much of the time.
Must be able to work in PM programs such as Hexagon.
Must be able to work in Timecard programs such as Workforce.
Must be self-motivated
Must be able to inspect and identify vehicles for DOT violations.
Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
