Role Description The Mahila Career Advisor is a full-time hybrid role based in Lucknow, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The role involves guiding and counseling women on career options within LIC, including advisory and sales roles, and helping them understand insurance products and related career pathways. Day-to-day tasks include conducting informational sessions, one-on-one consultations, and group workshops; supporting recruitment and onboarding of women advisors; and coordinating with branch teams to organize outreach programs. The Mahila Career Advisor will prepare clear communication materials, maintain accurate records of interactions, and track progress of candidates supported. The role also includes promoting financial literacy, building trust with prospective women candidates, and representing LIC professionally in the local community.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex information in simple terms and build rapport with diverse audiences.
Counseling or advisory abilities, with experience in guiding individuals on career choices, professional development, or financial awareness.
Basic knowledge of insurance, finance, or related services, and willingness to learn LIC products, policies, and procedures.
Organizational and planning skills to manage appointments, outreach events, documentation, and follow-ups efficiently.
Comfort with hybrid work, including the use of digital tools (email, video calls, office software) for remote communication and reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred; prior experience in education, counseling, sales, or community outreach is an advantage.
Ability to work in a gender-sensitive, inclusive manner and demonstrate cultural awareness in interactions with women from varied backgrounds.
Proficiency in English and local languages used in Lucknow is beneficial; familiarity with LIC’s operational environment in Uttar Pradesh is a plus.
