Role Description The SAT Math Mentor is a remote, part-time role focused on supporting students in preparing for the SAT Math section. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting online tutoring sessions, explaining key math concepts, guiding students through problem-solving strategies, and reviewing practice test results to identify areas for improvement. The mentor will create or adapt learning materials, provide constructive feedback, and track student progress over time. Collaboration with the broader tutoring team to share best practices and maintain consistent instructional quality is also expected.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in SAT Math topics, including algebra, geometry, data analysis, and advanced math concepts.
Ability to explain complex mathematical ideas clearly and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
Experience with online education platforms, virtual classroom tools, and digital resources for test preparation.
Excellent communication, patience, and active listening skills to engage and motivate students.
Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring high school students preparing for standardized tests.
Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Mathematics, Education, or a related field preferred.
