Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in kolkata.The Video Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into compelling visual stories for news features, documentaries, branded content, and social media videos. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and trimming clips, applying color grading, adding motion graphics and titles, syncing audio, and ensuring smooth transitions and pacing. The role also involves collaborating closely with producers, journalists, and the creative team to align video outputs with editorial vision and brand guidelines. The Video Editor will help optimize videos for multiple digital platforms, maintain file management and backups, and meet production deadlines while upholding the company’s standards of quality and integrity.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production for news, documentary, and branded content formats.
Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent visual tone and quality across projects.
Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to create engaging titles, lower thirds, and visual elements.
Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing and post-production tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve).
Ability to work on-site in Siliguri, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
Strong visual storytelling sense, attention to detail, and commitment to ethical and responsible content creation.
Relevant qualification in Film, Media, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in news, digital media, or documentary production is an advantage.
