About The Opportunity
Join Teacher Pool, a dynamic education network empowering schools across Bangalore with passionate, skilled educators. We partner with premium K-12 institutions in Sarjapura Road, Chikkathirupati Road, and surrounding neighborhoods to deliver creative, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and expression. As an Art & Craft Teacher, you’ll design and lead engaging sessions that blend traditional techniques with modern creativity — helping students build fine motor skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for the arts.
Role & Responsibilities
Plan and execute age-appropriate art & craft lessons aligned with school curricula and student developmental stages.
Lead hands-on sessions using diverse mediums — paper, clay, paint, textiles, recyclables — fostering creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor development.
Create safe, inspiring classroom environments that encourage exploration, self-expression, and peer collaboration.
Document student progress, display artwork, and participate in school exhibitions, cultural events, and parent engagement activities.
Collaborate with homeroom teachers and coordinators to integrate art into cross-curricular themes and school-wide initiatives.
Maintain and organize art supplies, ensure hygiene/safety standards, and manage budget-friendly sourcing of materials.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
Proficiency in multiple art mediums (acrylic, watercolor, clay, paper crafts, textile art)
Experience with children’s art pedagogy and developmental stage-appropriate projects
Classroom management for K-8 students
Lesson planning and curriculum alignment
Safety and hygiene compliance in art workshops
Portfolio showcasing student artwork or personal creative projects
Preferred
Certification in Art Education or Montessori/Reggio Emilia training
Experience with STEAM-integrated art projects
Ability to conduct art workshops or after-school clubs
