Role Description The Cyber Security Specialist role at Clear InfoSec is a full-time, remote position focused on protecting client systems, networks, and applications from cyber threats. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring security events and alerts, investigating incidents, and performing root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence. The specialist will conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, review security configurations, and recommend improvements across applications, networks, and infrastructure. The role also involves collaborating with internal and client teams to design and implement security controls, support secure software development practices, and maintain compliance with relevant frameworks and standards. The Cyber Security Specialist will document findings, prepare clear reports, and contribute to continuous enhancement of security policies, procedures, and tooling.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including threat analysis, risk assessment, and security governance.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Security and Cyber, including secure network design, intrusion detection/prevention, and incident response.
Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including secure coding practices, code review, and application vulnerability assessment.
Relevant experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, firewalls) and common frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or similar are highly beneficial.
