Role Description This is a remote, volunteer Quality Assurance Tester role focused on supporting the improvement of Outcome School’s digital learning platforms and tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing product requirements, creating clear and organized test cases, executing manual tests, and documenting defects and issues. The Quality Assurance Tester will collaborate with product, engineering, and program teams to verify fixes, retest resolved issues, and help ensure a consistent and reliable learner experience. The role also involves providing analytical feedback on platform usability, suggesting improvements, and contributing to the overall quality assurance process. Scheduling is flexible, but testers are expected to communicate regularly with the team and meet agreed timelines.
Qualifications
Strong Quality Assurance mindset, with experience or interest in QA processes and standards.
Ability to perform Test Execution and Manual Testing accurately and systematically.
Skill in designing and documenting clear Test Cases that reflect functional requirements.
Solid Analytical Skills for identifying patterns, diagnosing issues, and suggesting improvements.
Attention to detail, reliability in documenting findings, and consistency in following test procedures.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment and communicate clearly in writing and in meetings.
Familiarity with web or mobile applications; experience with bug-tracking tools is a plus.
Interest in education, workforce development, or supporting underserved communities is highly beneficial.
