Production Manager – AI Data Operations
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technology Operations Manager to lead large-scale production operations for AI Data programs. The role will be responsible for production planning, workforce management, capacity planning, productivity, utilization, quality, SLA/TAT, cost and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing large, high-volume, target-driven teams and driving operational performance through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end production operations for large-scale AI/ML data programs and ensure delivery against SLA, TAT, quality, productivity and cost targets.
- Manage large production teams, including people management, coaching, capability development and performance management.
- Own Workforce Management (WFM), capacity planning, forecasting, staffing and resource allocation.
- Monitor and improve productivity, utilization, shrinkage, absenteeism and attrition.
- Track operational KPIs including SLA, TAT, quality, productivity, utilization, staffing, backlog and cost through dashboards and management reports.
- Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition on workforce requirements, hiring plans, onboarding and ramp-up.
- Collaborate with AI/ML, Data Science, Technology, Quality, Training and Program Management teams.
- Lead new program launches, transitions, pilots and production ramp-ups.
- Identify operational gaps and drive RCA, CAPA, Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and standardize SOPs, workflows, governance mechanisms and operational review frameworks.
- Manage operational risks, escalations, client requirements and business continuity.
- Drive automation and technology-enabled improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness.
Mandatory Requirements
- 8 plus years of experience in Technology Operations / Production Management / BPO / KPO / Technology-enabled Services.
- Proven experience managing large teams in high-volume, target-driven production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience in WFM, capacity planning, forecasting, staffing and resource allocation.
- Strong understanding of productivity, utilization, shrinkage, absenteeism and attrition.
- Experience managing SLA, TAT, quality, productivity, utilization and cost-related KPIs.
- Strong people management and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and operational decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Technology / Business Administration or related field.
- Tier 1 / Tier 2 college background preferred.
