About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Knowledge Networks Inc. is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented intern to help grow the expert networks behind two of our flagship AI initiatives — AISB (AI Speakers Bureau) and FIRST EDITION™. You'll research potential authors and speakers, build out our Zoho CRM database with verified contact information, and send outreach that opens doors to some of the most interesting voices in AI. Real work, real ownership — reporting directly to the Program Manager who runs both platforms.
ABOUT AISB
The AI Speakers Bureau connects the world's leading AI experts, authors, and practitioners with the conferences, media, and organisations who need authoritative voices on artificial intelligence.
ABOUT FIRST EDITION™
First Edition is the platform where AI authors connect with publishers, readers, and enterprise partners — helping AI expertise reach the page and the audiences who need it most.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Research and identify potential AI authors (for First Edition) and AI speakers or experts (for AISB) across industry, academia, government, and enterprise
• Find verified, up-to-date contact information — email addresses, LinkedIn profiles, and professional affiliations
• Accurately enter and maintain contact records in Zoho CRM, following our data structure and tagging conventions
• Draft and send personalised outreach emails from approved templates, introducing AISB and First Edition to prospective authors and speakers
• Track responses and follow-ups in Zoho, keeping the pipeline current, clean, and organised
• Flag high-potential contacts to the Program Manager for prioritised outreach
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all contact and pipeline data
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree — any discipline; communications, marketing, business, or research backgrounds a plus
• Sharp research instincts — comfortable digging through LinkedIn, Google, and public sources to find accurate contact information
• Excellent written English, with the judgment to write outreach emails that sound human, not templated
• Comfortable with detail-oriented, repetitive data entry work, and committed to accuracy
• Self-motivated and reliable in a remote, async-friendly working environment
• Genuine interest in AI, publishing, or the speaker/conference industry is a strong plus
• Prior exposure to a CRM (Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) is a bonus — not a requirement
TOOLS YOU'LL USE
Zoho CRM · LinkedIn · Google Workspace · Email outreach (Gmail / Zoho Mail)
WHAT YOU'LL GAIN
• Direct mentorship from the Program Manager overseeing two live, high-visibility AI industry platforms
• Real experience in CRM management, research, and outreach — skills that transfer directly to sales, marketing, and business development roles
• Exposure to the global AI author, speaker, and policy community
• A completion certificate and letter of recommendation
• Potential to convert to a paid role based on performance
