Role Description The Assistant Professor of Maths will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate mathematics courses, including applied mathematics, and related quantitative subjects. Day-to-day activities include preparing and delivering lectures, designing assessments, guiding classroom discussions, mentoring students, and maintaining up-to-date course materials aligned with CTPL’s digital learning environment. The role also involves contributing to curriculum development, supporting academic initiatives, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching quality and student engagement. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, with the ability to teach core and advanced topics effectively.
Competence in related quantitative disciplines such as Physics and Statistics to support interdisciplinary learning.
Experience or aptitude in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessments.
Relevant postgraduate degree (preferably Ph.D. or Master’s) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
Prior teaching or academic experience in higher education, with demonstrated ability to engage and support diverse learners.
Comfort with educational technology and digital platforms, and willingness to adopt innovative teaching methods.
Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills, with a collaborative and student-centered approach.
Interest in contributing to institutional development, research, or academic projects within an evolving EdTech context.
