Role Description The Agency Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanpur, responsible for driving business growth through a network of insurance agents. This role involves recruiting, onboarding, and training agency partners, setting performance targets, and providing ongoing coaching to help them achieve sales and service objectives. The Agency Manager will plan and execute local sales strategies, monitor performance metrics, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. Daily responsibilities include market mapping, joint field visits, customer meetings, and support in closing health insurance sales while maintaining high standards of customer service. The role also requires regular reporting, collaboration with branch and regional teams, and participation in promotional activities to strengthen ABHICL’s presence in the Kanpur market.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, including experience in meeting targets, managing pipelines, and driving growth in a competitive market.
Agency management and leadership capabilities, with proven experience in recruiting, training, mentoring, and retaining agents or channel partners.
Customer relationship and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, explain health insurance products clearly, and handle queries and escalations professionally.
Knowledge of health insurance or financial services, including basic understanding of products, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
Organizational and planning skills, including territory management, performance tracking, and use of digital tools or CRM systems.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a specialization in business, finance, or insurance is an advantage.
Prior experience in insurance, banking, or other financial services in a managerial or team lead role is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Kanpur, conduct regular field visits, and adapt to local market conditions.
