We are an early-stage apparel label building a new line from the ground up. Our focus is on functional, construction-heavy clothing rather than conventional seasonal basics.
We are building a utility-led apparel label out of India, focused on technical outerwear and bottoms. Think multi-pocket constructions, harness and strap detailing, reflective trims, functional hardware, and layered silhouettes.
This is an exciting opportunity to join at an early stage. As one of our first design hires, you will have the opportunity to shape the product direction, contribute ideas, and help build the identity of the brand from the very beginning.
You won't simply be maintaining someone else's designs—you will be actively involved in creating, developing, and shaping the products that define our brand.
What you will do
• Design full collections from concept to production-ready, covering outerwear, bottoms and layering pieces
• Draft and correct your own patterns, and work directly with our pattern master and sample room
• Build tech packs that a factory can actually run without a dozen calls
• Source fabrics and hardware, including technical and recycled options, and push suppliers on what is realistically available in India
• Sit through fittings and own the fit standard
• Set the CMF direction for the label
What we need
• 4 to 5 years designing apparel, ideally outerwear or bottoms rather than basics
• Real pattern making ability. You should be able to draft a hooded jacket or a cargo pant yourself and explain why the seam sits where it does
• Comfort with technical fabrics, seam finishes, waterproofing, taping and hardware
• Working knowledge of Indian sourcing and sampling, or a strong reason you will pick it up fast
• CAD and tech pack fluency
• A portfolio with production photos, not only renders
• Frequent travel to suppliers and manufacturers for development
Nice to have
• Prior work in performance, military, outdoor or workwear
• 3D apparel software such as CLO 3D or Browzwear
• Experience taking a garment from first sample to bulk
