Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Network Automation Engineer role based in Pune City. The Network Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for network configuration, monitoring, and operations across diverse environments. Daily responsibilities include scripting and deploying automation workflows, integrating network tools and platforms, and ensuring high availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implementing CI/CD practices for network changes, and documenting standards, runbooks, and best practices. The engineer will also troubleshoot complex issues, participate in reviews and audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with NewVision’s AI-driven and automation-first approach.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in network engineering fundamentals, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and TCP/IP-based protocols.
Candidates should possess hands-on experience with network automation tools and frameworks, such as Ansible, Terraform, Python-based automation, or similar orchestration platforms.
Candidates should possess scripting and programming capabilities for automation, preferably in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with familiarity in APIs and RESTful integrations.
Candidates should possess skills in working with cloud and virtualized network environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, SDN, NFV) and related monitoring tools.
Candidates should possess knowledge of CI/CD concepts, version control (e.g., Git), and infrastructure-as-code practices for managing network configurations.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and automation issues.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, cloud certifications) are beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
Candidates should possess effective communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, and be comfortable working in cross-functional engineering teams.
