Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Security Implementation Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, configuring, and managing Microsoft security solutions across enterprise environments.
The candidate will be responsible for understanding client business and security requirements, translating them into appropriate Microsoft security solutions, determining the required licensing, and leading the implementation and validation of security controls.
Key Responsibilities
​Understand and analyze client business, security, compliance, and technical requirements.
​Design and implement Microsoft security solutions aligned with business requirements and security objectives.
​Implement and manage Microsoft security technologies, including:
​Microsoft Entra ID – Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, Identity Protection, RBAC and SSO.
​Microsoft Defender – Defender for Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud, Cloud Apps and Defender XDR.
​Microsoft Intune – Device Management, Endpoint Security, Compliance Policies, Configuration Profiles and Autopilot.
​Microsoft Purview – DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Information Protection, Insider Risk, eDiscovery and Compliance.
​Assess existing security configurations, identify gaps, and provide remediation recommendations.
​Evaluate Microsoft licensing requirements and recommend the appropriate and cost-effective licensing based on business and security requirements.
​Configure security policies, controls, integrations, alerts, dashboards, and security baselines.
​Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of implementation issues.
​Conduct client workshops, technical discussions, UAT, knowledge transfer, and implementation handover.
​Prepare technical documentation, implementation plans, SOPs, configuration guides, and assessment reports.
​Work with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to ensure successful implementation and integration.
Required Skills & Experience
​Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Security, Microsoft 365 Security, Azure Security, or related cybersecurity technologies.
​Proven experience implementing Microsoft security solutions in enterprise environments.
​Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Defender, Intune, and Purview.
​Good understanding of Microsoft security licensing, licensing dependencies, and feature availability.
​Ability to translate business requirements into appropriate security controls and technical solutions.
​Strong understanding of security architecture, identity security, endpoint security, data protection, and threat protection.
​Experience in client-facing roles, requirement gathering, technical workshops, and solution implementation.
​Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
​Relevant Microsoft certifications such as SC-100, SC-300, SC-401, AZ-500/SC-500, MD-102, or MS-102.
​Experience with security assessments, security transformation, or Microsoft security migration projects.
​Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
Candidate Profile
The preferred candidate should demonstrate strong practical implementation experience rather than certification-based or theoretical knowledge. The candidate must be capable of independently assessing requirements, recommending the appropriate Microsoft security solution and licensing, implementing the required controls, and validating their effectiveness.
