Role Description The Research Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based at Vikram University in Ujjain. The Research Assistant will support faculty and project leads in designing and conducting research studies, collecting and organizing data, and maintaining accurate documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities may include performing literature reviews, assisting with laboratory work or field studies, preparing research materials, and participating in data entry and preliminary analysis. The role also involves helping to draft reports, presentations, and academic papers, as well as coordinating with team members to ensure timely progress on project milestones. The Research Assistant is expected to follow institutional research guidelines, maintain ethical standards, and contribute to a collaborative and respectful academic environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Research and Analytical Skills to support study design, data collection, and problem-solving.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with faculty, presenting findings, and preparing written reports.
Candidates should possess Laboratory Skills for conducting experiments, handling equipment safely, and following standard operating procedures, where applicable.
Candidates should possess Data Analysis skills for organizing datasets, using basic analytical tools, and interpreting results accurately.
Candidates should ideally have familiarity with research ethics, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.
Enrollment in or completion of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate program (such as science, social science, or related fields) is preferred.
Basic proficiency with office and data software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, presentation tools) and willingness to learn new research tools is beneficial.
