QTP is an arts and theatre management company dedicated to creating unique and engaging experiences for live audiences.
Over the past two decades years they have mounted several theatre productions of their own including critically acclaimed plays like Every Brilliant Thing, Lungs, and Wildtrack, the long running Khatijabai of Karmali Terrace, the pertinent A Peasant of El Salvador and the path-breaking White Rabbit Red Rabbit. In addition to their original works, they have introduced Indian audiences to exceptional international shows, such as Lives of Clay (UK, 2023), Made in Ilva (Italy, 2022), Brotherhood (Canada, 2017), and Going Viral (UK, 2016).
They were instrumental in building international collaborations like Monsoon Wedding - The Musical (2018-2022), The Mirror Crack'd (2019-2020), Pink Sari Revolution (2017 and 2019), Nirbhaya (2013), Gates to India Song (2013) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (2006-9).
They have been the engine behind Thespo, India’s largest youth theatre community, as well as produced multiple events under the Literature Live! banner, including The Mumbai Litfest!
Role Description The Motion Graphic Designer will work full time on-site in Mumbai, collaborating closely with creative, production, and marketing teams to develop visual content for our Literature Festival, Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest, while making various iterations based on this year's visual identity and campaign. The role will include:
- Developing the master motion language for the festival campaign
- Animating key campaign graphics and design elements
- Adapting motion graphics across following media: Social media, Outdoor hoardings & digital OOH, On-ground AV and digital screens, Website, Festival communication
- Building a simple, scalable Canva motion template system that the social media team can use independently
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Based out of Mumbai
- Available to start on an immediate basis and available until 1 November
- Willing to work from an office set up (The office is in Andheri West)
- Proficient in After Effects (or equivalent motion graphics software)
- Have their own system to work on
Additional proficiency in the following software will be helpful:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Canva
- Previous professional motion design experience needed
- Strong portfolio of typography-led/graphic motion work
- Quick and highly efficient with design software
- Ability to work within an existing visual identity and translate it into motion
- Ability to work fast across multiple formats and deadlines
