Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Operations Manager role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The Assistant Operations Manager supports daily logistics operations, including coordinating shipments, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring compliance with internal processes and external regulations. Responsibilities include supervising frontline operations staff, resolving operational issues, tracking key performance indicators, and maintaining accurate records and operational documentation. The role involves close collaboration with vendors, transport partners, and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective service delivery and high customer satisfaction. The Assistant Operations Manager also assists in process improvement initiatives, supports the implementation of operational policies, and helps maintain safety and quality standards across the facility.
Qualifications
Strong operational and organizational skills, including experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations coordination.
Competence in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use spreadsheets and logistics management tools to monitor performance and optimize workflows.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams, customers, and external partners, including negotiation and stakeholder management.
Ability to lead and support teams, including task delegation, basic people management, and promoting a collaborative, safety-conscious work environment.
Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle time-sensitive operational challenges under pressure.
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field is preferred; relevant industry certifications are an advantage.
Prior experience in logistics operations or warehousing in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region or similar markets is beneficial.
Comfort working on-site, with flexibility to support extended or shifting operational hours when required by business needs.
