Role Description
This full-time Structural Design Engineer (RCC) role at Flood Precast India is an on-site position based in Mumbai. The role involves performing structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete components and precast systems for residential and commercial projects. The engineer will prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. Daily tasks include using tools such as AutoCAD and Tekla Structures/Tekla Structures Designer for modelling, detailing and analysis, coordinating with project managers, architects, and site teams, and reviewing designs for safety, durability, and constructability. The role also includes assisting in value engineering, supporting technical documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes.
Key Responsibilities
Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to design RCC and precast concrete elements.
Proficiency in Structural Analysis using relevant software and methods to assess loads, stability, and performance.
Structural Analysis & Modelling: Develop and analyse structural models using appropriate software to evaluate load combinations, connections, and structural behaviour of precast systems.
Knowledge of Eurocodes and standards applicable to RCC and precast structures.
Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
Relevant industry experience in building or infrastructure projects; precast concrete experience is an advantage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• M.Tech in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in RCC structural design with exposure to precast construction or in- situ construction.
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures Designer and other design software.
• Strong knowledge of RCC design principles and seismic design.
• Good communication and coordination skills required; a strong hold on English will be an advantage.
Preferred Skills
• Exposure to precast structures or BIM workflows.
• Familiarity with international codes (Eurocode / BS) is an advantage.
• Experience in a structural design consultancy environment.
