About the Role
The Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing and establishing various financial analyses, quantifying opportunities, projecting financial outcomes, and calculating capital adequacy. The role supports management with accurate and timely financial data within defined standards and guidelines. The analyst maintains the MIS system and generates periodic analytical reports to facilitate decision-making. Additionally, the role involves liaising with different functions for financial analysis support and performing ad-hoc analyses requested by senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Perform financial and accounting-related activities in a timely manner.
Manage day-to-day operations to ensure processes are executed within agreed SLAs.
Perform month-end closing activities such as revenue accounting, expense accounting, and account reconciliation.
Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, including credit and collection.
Undertake regular self-assessments to actively manage and mitigate new risks.
Measure financial ratios such as solvency, profitability, and growth to determine the bank’s financial position and propose enhancements.
Work closely with Technology to ensure systems accommodate regulatory requirements and process improvements.
Ensure operational documentation is maintained and meets best-in-class standards.
Prepare financial and accounting reports in accordance with bank and regulatory rules and regulations.
Maintain MIS parameters as per guidelines and identify process improvements for data collection and report generation.
Maintain accurate financial data and reports for submission to senior management.
Maintain funds transfer pricing processes to measure performance of different business units.
Address financial issues and inquiries in a timely manner.
Prepare daily cash flow reports and register all outstanding payment records.
Participate in regular audits and recommend corrective financial action plans.
Conduct analytical reviews of financials to support decision-making.
Secondary Responsibilities
Establish a properly staffed and appropriately trained Finance function.
Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the team.
Leverage in-house synergies through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Stay abreast of global market trends and competitor strategies in key markets.
Create an environment that promotes collaborative learning and collective ownership of responsibilities.
What We Are Looking For
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, Commerce, Arts, Science, Biology, Business, Computers, or Management.
Post-graduate degree: MBA or PGDM.
Professional Qualification/Certification: Chartered Accountant (CA).
Experience
Minimum 7 years of total experience in relevant financial and regulatory reporting roles.
Skills and Attributes
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Proficiency in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
