We’re looking for a designer who can think before they decorate.
At The Creative Trading Co., design rarely sits in one neat category.
One day, you could be shaping the visual direction for a healthcare campaign. The next, building a brand system, designing a pitch deck, creating a social-first campaign, or developing a key visual that needs to work across print, digital and film.
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer with strong visual judgment, solid design fundamentals and the ability to move across different kinds of brands without making everything look the same.
This is not a role for someone who only waits for references and executes them.
We need someone who can understand the brief, find the idea, build the visual direction and carry it through with consistency.
What You’ll Work On
Brand identities and visual systems
Campaign concepts and key visuals
Social media communication and content series
Advertising, print and digital creatives
Presentations, pitch decks and brand documents
Event, space and internal communication design
Visual directions for films, reels and motion content
AI-assisted visual explorations and modern creative workflows
The work will span healthcare, technology, lifestyle, culture, institutions and emerging brands.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in an agency environment
A portfolio that shows strong thinking across branding, campaigns and communication design
Excellent understanding of typography, hierarchy, layout and composition
Ability to develop ideas rather than simply execute supplied references
Strong visual taste and awareness of contemporary design and culture
Ability to adapt a visual system across multiple formats and platforms
Comfort working across fast-moving briefs and multiple brands
Ability to present, explain and defend creative decisions clearly
Openness to feedback, without losing ownership of the work
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
Good to Have
Familiarity with Figma
Experience using AI tools within the creative process
Experience working with healthcare, technology or institutional brands
Interest in photography, culture, films, fashion, art or emerging visual trends
What This Role Needs
We need someone who can move between restraint and expression.
Someone who knows when a design needs a strong idea, when it needs clarity, and when it simply needs to be executed with precision.
You should be comfortable collaborating with copywriters, social teams, strategists, filmmakers and account managers—and taking responsibility for the quality of your work from brief to final delivery.
There will be deadlines, revisions and demanding projects. There will also be variety, creative involvement and the opportunity to build work that goes far beyond routine social media production.
