Role Description The HR Manager | Hospitality | Restaurant will oversee all core HR activities for a restaurant operation in Kashipur, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. This full-time, on-site role will partner with restaurant leadership to forecast staffing needs, manage shift-wise workforce planning, and ensure timely hiring for front-of-house and back-of-house positions. The HR Manager will design and administer HR policies, handle attendance and payroll inputs, maintain HR documentation, and support disciplinary and grievance procedures. The role will also coordinate training initiatives, support engagement and retention programs, and ensure HR processes align with brand standards, guest service expectations, and operational goals.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations within hospitality or restaurant environments.
Experience in workforce planning, scheduling, and manpower budgeting for high-volume, shift-based operations.
Knowledge of local labor laws, statutory compliances, and HR documentation requirements relevant to restaurant and hospitality businesses.
Ability to design and implement training, development, and engagement initiatives that support service quality and retention.
Proficiency in HRIS or HR management tools, basic payroll coordination, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with owners, managers, and frontline teams.
Prior experience as an HR generalist or HR manager in hotels, restaurants, or other hospitality settings is highly preferred.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant HR certifications are an advantage.
