Quality Control (QC) Specialist / Curriculum Reviewer – STEM (K–12)

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to review, validate, and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and pedagogical soundness of K–12 STEM curriculum content (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). The ideal candidate has strong subject-matter grounding in K–12 STEM concepts, an eye for detail, and experience reviewing educational content for factual accuracy, grade-level appropriateness, curriculum alignment, and instructional quality.
Key Responsibilities
Review STEM lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, activity guides, and digital content for factual, conceptual, and computational accuracy.
Verify alignment with curriculum frameworks and learning standards (e.g., NGSS, CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, Common Core Math, IB, or other applicable standards).
Check age/grade appropriateness of content, vocabulary, examples, and difficulty level.
Validate scientific/mathematical formulas, diagrams, experiments, and coding/engineering exercises for correctness.
Ensure consistency in terminology, formatting, style guide adherence, and instructional design across grade levels and subjects.
Identify and flag errors, ambiguities, or gaps in logical flow, then coordinate with content developers/SMEs for corrections.
Conduct plagiarism and originality checks where applicable.
Test interactive/digital STEM content (simulations, apps, coding modules) for functional and content accuracy.
Maintain QC checklists, error logs, and quality metrics/reports for each curriculum unit.
Collaborate with curriculum designers, subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and editors to close the feedback loop.
Suggest improvements to enhance clarity, engagement, and pedagogical effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with accessibility and inclusivity guidelines in content design.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
2–5 years of experience in K–12 curriculum development, teaching, instructional design, or content quality assurance (experience range adjustable based on seniority level).
Strong command of K–12 STEM subject matter across relevant grade bands.
Familiarity with educational standards/frameworks (NGSS, Common Core, CBSE/ICSE, State Boards, IB, or equivalent as applicable).
Excellent attention to detail and analytical/proofreading skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior classroom teaching experience in STEM subjects (K–12).
Experience with instructional design principles (Bloom's Taxonomy, backward design, UDL).
Familiarity with EdTech tools, LMS platforms, or content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, H5P, Google Workspace, Canva).
Basic understanding of coding/robotics curriculum (Scratch, Python, Arduino) if role covers Technology/Engineering strands.
Experience with content management systems and version control for curriculum content.
