Job Description – Interior Design Coordinator
Department: Design & Development
Reporting To: Manager / AGM – Design & Development
Location: Bengaluru
Role Purpose
The Interior Design Coordinator is responsible for coordinating interior design activities from project inception through execution and handover. The role involves design briefing, consultant coordination, concept development tracking, drawing reviews, material selection, shop drawing approvals, site inspections, quality monitoring, and stakeholder coordination to deliver high-quality interior spaces on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in preparing detailed interior design briefs aligned with project vision, customer profile, budget, and timelines.
· Coordinate with architects, interior designers, MEP consultants, landscape consultants, lighting consultants, and specialist vendors.
· Track concept development and facilitate timely reviews and management approvals.
· Coordinate review and approval of schematic, detailed, and GFC drawings.
· Manage review and approval of shop drawings and interdisciplinary coordination.
· Support selection and approval of materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, artwork, lighting, and custom joinery.
· Coordinate mock-ups, sample boards, and prototype installations.
· Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality and compliance with approved drawings.
· Identify execution issues and coordinate timely resolution.
· Prepare site inspection reports, snag lists, progress reports, and action trackers.
· Coordinate with procurement, contracts, construction, sales, marketing, and facilities teams.
· Maintain design documentation, drawing registers, revision logs, RFIs, and material schedules.
· Support handover of experience centres, clubhouses, residential and commercial interiors.
· Benchmark new materials, products, and design trends.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture
• 3–6 years of relevant experience.
Skills
AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit (preferred), MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, communication, coordination, quality management, attention to detail.
