As the organisation grows, the Finance & Commercial team plays a critical role in guiding decisions with data, discipline and financial insight.
Role Summary
CKPC Properties is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Senior Manager – Accounts, Tax & Audit to lead the organisation’s books of accounts, direct and indirect tax compliance, and statutory/internal audit function. This is a senior individual contributor and team-leadership role suited to a Chartered Accountant with strong real estate / infrastructure sector exposure, who can operate with precision in a fast-scaling, multi-entity development environment while upholding the highest standards of financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Financial Reporting
• Own end-to-end finalisation of books of accounts for CKPC and its group/project entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with Ind AS / applicable accounting standards.
• Drive monthly, quarterly and annual closing of accounts, including preparation of MIS, financial statements and management reports for leadership review.
• Oversee project-wise and entity-wise accounting for ongoing commercial and residential developments, including cost capitalisation, revenue recognition (Ind AS 115) and work-in-progress tracking.
• Ensure robust accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and reconciliation processes across the organisation.
• Partner with the CFO/Finance leadership on budgeting, cash flow planning and financial control frameworks.
Taxation
• Manage end-to-end direct tax compliance – corporate income tax, advance tax computations, TDS/TCS, and tax audits under the Income Tax Act.
• Manage indirect tax compliance including GST registrations, returns, reconciliations (GSTR-1, 3B, 2B, 9/9C), input tax credit optimisation and RCM compliance specific to real estate transactions.
• Handle assessments, notices, appeals and liaison with tax consultants, auditors and tax authorities.
• Track evolving tax regulations (income tax, GST, RERA-linked tax implications, stamp duty) and proactively advise leadership on impact and planning opportunities.
• Drive tax-efficient structuring for new projects, joint ventures and land transactions in coordination with external advisors.
Audit & Internal Controls
• Own the statutory audit process end-to-end – coordinate with external auditors, ensure timely closure, and resolve audit observations.
• Lead internal audits and periodic control reviews across accounts, project costs, procurement and vendor payments; strengthen SOPs and internal financial controls (IFC).
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act, RERA financial disclosure requirements, and other applicable statutory/regulatory frameworks.
• Coordinate with secretarial, legal and compliance teams on statutory filings, board reporting and related-party transaction documentation.
• Identify process gaps and drive automation/standardisation of accounting, tax and audit workflows.
Team & Stakeholder Management
• Lead, mentor and build a high-performing accounts and tax team, setting clear ownership and review mechanisms.
• Serve as the key point of contact for statutory auditors, tax consultants, bankers and regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate closely with project, procurement, sales and legal teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance across the business.
Qualifications & Experience
• Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory; additional qualification in taxation (DT/IDT) is an advantage.
• 10–15 years of progressive post-qualification experience in accounts, direct/indirect taxation and audit, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial/leadership capacity.
• Prior experience in real estate, construction, infrastructure or a project-driven business is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of managing statutory and tax audits, and interfacing directly with Big 4/reputed audit firms and tax authorities.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally or equivalent) and strong command over MS Excel.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong technical knowledge of Ind AS, Income Tax Act, GST law and Companies Act provisions relevant to real estate.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple entities, projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process- and controls-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with leadership, auditors and regulators.
• Demonstrated integrity, ownership and accountability – core to CKPC’s culture and values.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling organisation and drive change with minimal supervision.
Why Join CKPC
• Be part of a fast-growing developer building Grade A+ campuses for Fortune 100 companies and premium residential communities across Bengaluru.
• Work directly with senior leadership on high-impact financial governance as the company scales toward $10 billion in assets under management by 2035.
• A culture built on integrity, clarity and accountability, with strong mentorship and genuine ownership from day one.
