Role Description The Project Lead (Civil Engineer) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing civil engineering aspects of property development projects from concept to completion. This role involves leading project planning and design activities, coordinating site investigations, and preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and reports. The Project Lead will manage project timelines, monitor construction progress, ensure compliance with codes and safety standards, and address technical issues as they arise. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders, reviewing designs for stormwater management and infrastructure, and ensuring quality control and cost-effective solutions. The role also requires mentoring junior engineers, supporting approvals from local authorities, and maintaining clear documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to take complete ownership of project delivery across civil, MEP, and façade works. This is a leadership role responsible for end-to-end execution, including planning, budgeting, contractor management, quality, safety, and stakeholder coordination.
The Project Head will directly manage contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Overall Project Ownership
Take full responsibility for planning, execution, and delivery of assigned projects.
Define project strategy, timelines, and execution methodology.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and as per quality standards.
Act as the single point of accountability for project outcomes.
Civil, MEP & Façade Integration
Oversee execution of civil, finishing, MEP, and façade works.
Coordinate directly with consultants, architects, and contractors.
Review drawings, technical submittals, and execution plans.
Ensure seamless integration and sequencing across all disciplines.
Contractor & Vendor Management
Appoint, manage, and evaluate contractors and key vendors.
Negotiate commercial terms, variations, and change orders.
Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and quality.
Approve bills, certifications, and payment milestones.
Cost & Budget Control
Prepare and manage overall project budgets and forecasts.
Track cost deviations and implement corrective measures.
Review BOQs, procurement plans, and major purchase decisions.
Ensure financial discipline and cost optimization.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to quality benchmarks and specifications.
Conduct regular site reviews and quality audits.
Enforce safety standards and statutory compliance.
Coordinate inspections and approvals from relevant authorities.
Stakeholder & Client Management
Interface with clients, consultants, architects, and internal leadership.
Lead progress review meetings and resolve critical issues.
Provide regular MIS, progress, and risk reports to management.
Represent the organization in all project-related matters.

Proven ability to independently lead and deliver large construction projects.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
15 – 20 years of experience in building construction projects.
Prior experience as Project Head, Senior Project Manager, or similar leadership role.
Hands-on experience managing civil, MEP, and façade packages end-to-end.
Experience in high-rise, commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments preferred.
